How To Set up Discount

  1. Log into GoTab POS:
    • Open the GoTab POS application on your device.
    • Enter your username and password, then click "Log In."
  2. Navigate to the Discounts Section:
    • Click on the "Settings" icon (usually represented by a gear or similar icon) in the menu.
    • Select "Discounts" from the settings menu.
  3. Create a New Discount:
    • Click the “+ New Discount” button.
    • Enter a name for the discount (e.g., "$15 Offline").
    • In the "Type" dropdown, select "Fixed Amount."
    • Enter the discount amount (e.g., 5 for $15 offline).
  4. Set Conditions (Optional):
    • If the discount should only apply under certain conditions (e.g., specific items, times, or customer groups), set these conditions in the corresponding fields.
    • Use the "Add Condition" button to specify any additional requirements.
  5. Save the Discount:
    • Review the discount details to ensure accuracy.
    • Click “Save” to create the discount.

How to Pull Data

  1. Log into GoTab POS Admin Portal:
    • Open your web browser and go to the GoTab admin portal.
    • Enter your username and password, then click "Log In."
  2. Navigate to Reports:
    • From the main dashboard, click on "Reports" in the sidebar menu.
  3. Select Discount Reports:
    • In the reports section, look for "Discount Reports" or similar options.
    • Click on "Discount Reports" to access the details.
  4. Filter the Report:
    • Use the filter options to select the time period and specific discounts you want to analyze.
    • Apply any additional filters such as location, user, or specific discount names.
  5. Generate the Report:
    • Click “Generate Report” to pull up the data.
    • Review the report to see the profitability data associated with the discounts.
  6. Export the Data (Optional):
    • If you need to analyze the data further, click the “Export” button to download the report in your preferred format (CSV, Excel, etc.).

How to Create an Auto Gratuity Button

  1. Log into GoTab POS Admin Portal:
    • Open your web browser and go to the GoTab admin portal.
    • Enter your username and password, then click "Log In."
  2. Navigate to the Settings:
    • Click on the "Settings" icon in the menu.
    • Select "Gratuities" from the settings menu.
  3. Create a New Gratuity:
    • Click the “+ New Gratuity” button.
    • Enter a name for the gratuity (e.g., “Auto Gratuity”).
  4. Set Gratuity Details:
    • In the "Type" dropdown, select "Percentage."
    • Enter the desired percentage for the gratuity (e.g., 15% or 20%).
    • Ensure the option for "Apply to pre-discounted amount" is selected.
  5. Assign the Gratuity to Specific Orders:
    • Specify if the gratuity should apply to all orders, or only to specific order types (e.g., dine-in, large parties).
    • Use the "Add Condition" button to set any additional rules.
  6. Save the Gratuity:
    • Review the gratuity settings to ensure accuracy.
    • Click “Save” to create the auto gratuity.
  7. Create a Button for Staff to Apply Gratuity:
    • Go to the “Interface Settings” in the admin portal.
    • Navigate to the “Custom Buttons” section.
    • Click the “+ New Button” option.
    • Name the button (e.g., “Apply Auto Gratuity”).
    • Link the button to the gratuity you created earlier.
    • Save the button settings.
