How to Create a Discount Code Labeled "Offline"


Step 1: Log In to Lightspeed POS
  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Lightspeed POS login page.
  2. Enter your credentials and log in.
Step 2: Navigate to Discounts
  1. From the main dashboard, click on "Settings" in the sidebar.
  2. Under the "Settings" menu, find and click on "Discounts."
Step 3: Create a New Discount
  1. Click the "Add Discount" button.
  2. Choose "Dollar Discount" as the discount type.
Step 4: Configure the Discount
  1. In the "Name" field, enter "Offline."
  2. Set the discount amount according to your needs (e.g., $5 off, $10 off, etc.).
  3. Optionally, you can set a minimum purchase amount or other conditions if necessary.
  4. Ensure that the "Active" toggle is turned on.
Step 5: Save the Discount
  1. Review the discount settings.
  2. Click the "Save" button to create the discount code.

How to Pull "Offline" Data


Step 1: Log In to Lightspeed POS
  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Lightspeed POS login page.
  2. Enter your credentials and log in.
Step 2: Navigate to Reports
  1. From the main dashboard, click on "Reports" in the sidebar.
  2. Choose "Sales Reports" from the list of available reports.
Step 3: Customize the Report
  1. In the Sales Reports section, look for the "Discounts" report.
  2. Select the time period for which you want to pull the data.
  3. Use the filters to specify the discount labeled "Offline."
Step 4: Generate the Report
  1. Click "Generate Report" to view the data.
  2. The report will display the following details:
    • Profitability: This can be inferred from the total sales minus the discounts given.
    • Discount Number: The number of times the "Offline" discount was applied.
    • Discount Amount: The total dollar amount of the "Offline" discount given.
Step 5: Export the Report (Optional)
  1. If you need to save or share the report, you can export it as a CSV or PDF file.
  2. Click the "Export" button and choose your preferred format.

How to Set Up Auto Gratuity


Step 1: Log In to Lightspeed POS
  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the Lightspeed POS login page.
  2. Enter your credentials and log in.
Step 2: Navigate to Gratuities
  1. From the main dashboard, click on "Settings" in the sidebar.
  2. Under the "Settings" menu, find and click on "Gratuities."
Step 3: Create a New Gratuity
  1. Click the "Add Gratuity" button.
Step 4: Configure the Gratuity
  1. In the "Name" field, enter "Auto Gratuity 15%."
  2. Set the gratuity percentage to 15%.
  3. Enable the option to apply the gratuity on the pre-discounted amount (if available).
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for "Auto Gratuity 20%" with a 20% gratuity.
Step 5: Save the Gratuity
  1. Review the gratuity settings.
  2. Click the "Save" button to create the gratuity.
Step 6: Set Up the Gratuity Button
  1. Go to the "POS Configuration" section under "Settings."
  2. Click on "Buttons" or "Quick Keys" (depending on your system configuration).
  3. Add a new button and label it "15% Gratuity" or "20% Gratuity."
  4. Link the button to the corresponding gratuity created in the previous steps.
Step 7: Save and Test
  1. Save the button configuration.
  2. Test the new gratuity button to ensure it applies the correct percentage on the pre-discounted amount.
